Sofie dieu
Sofie Dieu est titulaire d'une licence en design textile et en sculpture. En 2016, elle est diplômée de l'Université Montpellier III avec un Master en Art Visuel et Pratique Contemporaine. Elle enseigne actuellement la théorie du design à l'Université de Monash (Australie).
Sofie collabore notamment avec la Biennale de Sydney, le Black Dog Institute et le Mosaic Festival. Son travail a été largement exposé dans le Gippsland et plus récemment à la Latrobe Regional Gallery. Sa peinture est publiée dans The Spirit of the Bush, Art of Gippsland. En 2019, Creative Gippsland a invité Sofie Dieu dans le cadre de son programme Artist in Community. Cette année-là, elle a également participé aux résidences Les Lizières (Fr.) et Falls Creek (VIC). En 2020, Sofie Dieu a reçu la bourse de la Fondation pour le renouveau rural et régional, Tackling Tough Time Together, et la bourse du Conseil du comté de l'Est du Gippsland, Arts Project, pour son programme d'art et de bien-être communautaire Stillness Through Art. Elle est lauréate de plusieurs prix artistiques et finaliste de prix. |
Sofie Dieu has a Bachelor in Textile Design and Sculpture. In 2016, she graduated from Montpellier III University with a Master in Visual Art and Contemporary Practice. She currently teaches design theory at Monash University (Australia).
Sofie's collaborations include working with Sydney Biennale, the Black Dog Institute and the Mosaic Festival. Her work has been extensively shown in Gippsland and more recently was exhibited at Latrobe Regional Gallery. Her painting is published in The Spirit of the Bush, Art of Gippsland. In 2019, Creative Gippsland invited Sofie Dieu to its Artist in Community Programme. That year, she also took part in Les Lizières (Fr.) and Falls Creek (VIC) residencies. In 2020, Sofie Dieu was the recipient of the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal's grant Tackling Tough Time Together, and East Gippsland Shire Council's grant Arts Project, for her Community art and wellness programme Stillness Through Art. She is a multi-art prizes and award finalist. |
