Mollye Bendel
Mollye Bendell utilise la nature intangible des médias électroniques comme métaphore pour explorer la vulnérabilité, la visibilité et la nostalgie dans un monde qui peut sembler aliénant. Elle a été artiste en résidence à Wave Farm/WGXC et au Harvestworks Digital Media Arts Center. En 2019, avec ses deux collaborateurs du collectif strikeWare, Mollye a reçu une bourse d'artiste Rubys de la R.W. Deutsch Foundation pour réaliser un travail explorant la manière dont l'histoire de l'éducation des Noirs continue de façonner la ville de Baltimore. En 2020, strikeWare a été nommé finaliste du Janet + Walter Sondheim Artscape Prize. Mollye est titulaire d'une licence en sculpture de la Glasgow School of Art et d'un MFA en Intermedia and Digital Arts de l'UMBC. Elle vit et travaille à Baltimore, dans le Maryland.

Mollye Bendell uses the intangible nature of electronic media as a metaphor for exploring vulnerability, visibility, and longing in a world that can feel isolating. She has been an artist-in-residence at Wave Farm/WGXC and at the Harvestworks Digital Media Arts Center. In 2019, with her two collaborators in strikeWare collective, Mollye received an R.W. Deutsch Foundation Rubys Artist Grant to complete a body of work exploring how the history of Black education continues to shape Baltimore City. In 2020, strikeWare were named Janet + Walter Sondheim Artscape Prize finalists. Mollye holds a BA in Sculpture from the Glasgow School of Art and an MFA in Intermedia and Digital Arts from UMBC. She lives and works in Baltimore, Maryland.
