Maggie Kelly
Maggie Kelly is a 23 year old dance artist from Ontario, Canada. She grew up immersed in the competitive dance world, and at 18, moved to New York City to study dance at a professional level. She was offered a scholarship to the Joffrey Ballet School, where she spent one year, and then transferred to Steps on Broadway from which she graduated last year. Maggie stayed in New York until the fall, performing and experimenting with her own choreographic projects.
In 2020, Maggie moved to Montreal where she trained under both Canadian and European choreographers, and began to explore new forms of contemporary dance. However, shortly after the COVID-19 outbreak, Maggie decided, temporarily, to move home to Ontario. During these uncertain times, Maggie has been motivated by the resilience of the arts community, and continues training through virtual classes and workshops. She has also been experimenting with virtual collaborations, mixed media projects, and finding unusual sources of inspiration. Maggie has enjoyed indulging in new hobbies and time spent with her family, but looks forward to returning to the stage! |
