HHybryDd / MARCELLO SCUDERI

HHYBRYDD is the digital identity of Marcello Scuderi. His artistic career began in Italy where, as an actor, from 1982 to 1995 he travelled all over the country playing in different theatre companies and made a few appearances in movies and television. In 1995, he moved to France and began his career as a theater director. From 2003, with his company Noved land, he directed and performed great Italian classics adapted into contemporary versions or works by authors of the new Italian dramaturgy. From 2013, he created projects mixing visual and performing arts. In 2016, he began to explore the medium of video and created his digital identity HHYBRYDD. Since then, he continues he explores creating between video art and video poetry. His artistic approach in photo and video is that of a video poet who explores the unconscious, nature, myths and their reminiscences in the collective imagination. To do so, he shoots images and then in solo, like a sculptor of image and sound, modifies, inlays or diverts them through editing and special effects. He completes his dreamlike creations by illustrating them with sounds and sound effects that he creates himself. In the case of his art work for Ensemble Ouvert, he obtained permission from the musician Juha Maki-Patola to use the piece Slow Dive.
