Britt Brown
Britt Stevens Brown est professeure de danse et chorégraphe à Atlanta, GA. Originaire de Long Island, New York, elle a commencé à prendre des cours de danse à l'âge de 4 ans au Adele's Dance Studio, Queens, NY. À 9 ans, elle a rejoint le ministère de la danse à Grace Cathedral International, Uniondale, NY. Deux ans plus tard, elle se lance dans la création.
Elle a été chorégraphe pour divers groupes âgés de cinq à soixante-cinq ans à la Grace Cathedral. Son intérêt grandissant pour la danse et les arts du spectacle l’a amené à suivre des cours au Dance Arts Repertoire, à Hempstead, NY. C’est d’ailleurs l'endroit où elle a reçu une formation approfondie en ballet, claquettes, danse moderne, jazz, théâtre musical, musique africaine, hip-hop et même flamenco. Elle s'est également impliquée davantage dans les groupes de danse de son lycée, le Kellenberg Memorial High School, Uniondale, NY. En 2004, elle a commencé sa carrière universitaire en étudiant la Danse Théâtre au Manhattanville College, puis à l'université Hofstra. Elle y a étudié le ballet et la danse moderne, la chorégraphie, le Pilates, l'histoire de la danse, la production et le processus créatif. Depuis son déménagement à Atlanta, elle partage sa passion pour les arts en tant que professeur de danse et chorégraphe pour Dance Depot 5, Envision Dance Academy, Sheltering Arms Stonewall Tell, Atlanta Church of God By Faith, ATL Unique Steppers, Southwest Performing Arts Center et Elizabeth Baptist Church. Elle enseigne actuellement au Studio Atlanta Dance et à l'Atlanta Ballet Centre for Dance Education à Buckhead dans le cadre d’un programme d'engagement communautaire. |
Britt Stevens Brown is a dance instructor and choreographer located in Atlanta, GA. Originally from Long Island, New York, she started taking dance classes at the age of 4 at Adele's Dance Studio, Queens, NY. At 9 years old, she joined the dance ministry at Grace Cathedral International, Uniondale, NY. Two years later, she began choreographing.
As the years went by, she choreographed for various dance groups ranging from ages five to sixty-five at Grace Cathedral. As her interest in dance and the performing arts increased, she began to take more classes at Dance Arts Repertoire, Hempstead, NY. Dance Arts Repertoire is where she was trained extensively in Ballet, Tap, Modern, Jazz, Musical Theater, African, Hip-Hop, and even Flamenco. She also became more involved in dance groups at her high school, Kellenberg Memorial High School, Uniondale, NY. In 2004, she began her college career studying Dance Theater at Manhattanville College and then Hofstra University where she studied Ballet and Modern, Choreography, Pilates, Dance History, Dance Production, and Creative Process. Since moving to Atlanta, she has shared her passion for the arts as a dance instructor and choreographer for Dance Depot 5, Envision Dance Academy, Sheltering Arms Stonewall Tell, Atlanta Church of God By Faith, ATL Unique Steppers, Southwest Performing Arts Center and Elizabeth Baptist Church. She currently teaches at The Studio Atlanta Dance and at Atlanta Ballet Centre for Dance Education in Buckhead for their community engagement program. |
